We prefer to let our customers decide for themselves after consideration of their budget, the effect on costs, and any potential risks.
From our standpoint, it doesn’t really matter what choice is made, as long as our customers are fully aware of how their choice works in practice!
Deposit - PPL Deluxe Package & Airline Pilot Packages
Regardless of which payment method you chose, you will need to make a small deposit to confirm your commitment and reserve your place. The table below shows the amount of deposit required

Conditions
The deposit is required at least thirty (30) days prior to the date you wish to start. Please bear in mind we would prefer a longer time for our planning purposes and can only agree a start date with you at the time you make the payment. We will then guarantee the availability of your chosen course and training will commence on the agreed date.
If you have already paid a deposit and wish to change the course start date; provided this is done at least 30 days prior to the original date and we can accommodate the change, then we will happily move dates without penalty.
If you advise us of the change less than 30 days prior to the original start date, we will charge 50% of the deposit amount as an administration fee.
If you fail to show for the course start date, then the total deposit will be charged as an administration fee and will be forfeited.
Pay As You Go
We recommended this option if you feel minimizing risk is your top priority! Although we have been in business for over 20 years and own our fleet of 32 aircraft as well as our facilities, many schools do not, which is the reason why the industry as a whole has seen several go under leaving customers with little or nothing to show for their payments!
The Pay As You Go scheme is simple to understand, but it comes with some administrative challenges for you and us, hence it costs a little more in the long run!
Here is how it works:
Deposit:
The money already paid as your deposit will be set aside and remains as a credit on your account refundable only when you have completed the course.
Payments:
Minimum payment amount will be $1,000 USD at a time unless you are at the end of the course when less than this amount will be needed to complete. You will be responsible for ensuring payments are made in a timely manner to keep you account in credit (see below), and all costs associated with making each of these payments, whether it be credit card or wire transfer fees etc, will be charged to your account. We can only accept payments Monday through Friday and we must be able to verify amounts during banking hours as applicable.
Account Balance:
This will need to be kept at a minimum balance of $500 at the START of each planned training day. Extra funds will be needed to cover weekend flying activity. Being placed on the ‘no fly’ list will do nothing to assist your course completion deadlines dates.
Completion:
After training is completed and before undertaking the final skill test (as applicable), it will be necessary for you to make any payment necessary to bring your account to zero balance once the skill test is complete. Naturally we will be happy to take into account your deposit amount at this point, as it would make no sense to take money from you and then immediately hand it back!
Full Package Payment
The majority of our customers still prefer the Full Package Payment option which is discounted and eliminates the complications and costs associated with the need to make regular, often daily payments. For the last 20 years we would estimate more than 95% of our customers have chosen this method of payment.

Here is how it works:
Deposit:
The money already paid as your deposit will be credited to your account upon arrival.
Payments:
The balance of the package will then be paid in full by one of several methods available at no extra charge. We can only accept payments Monday through Friday and we must be able to verify amounts during banking hours where bank transfers are made.
Account Balance:
Your account will naturally stay in credit for the duration of the package and no further payments will be required for this training or flying.
Completion:
Assuming you stay within the hours contained within the package then no further charges or fees will apply.
Payment Methods – including deposits
Whether you chose the Pay As You Go or Full Package Payment option we accept several different methods of payments as below, although your account will be credited and managed in USD ONLY
- Bank Wire Transfer to our UK or US accounts in USD, Pounds* or Euros*.
- Credit Card, with a 4% fee to cover the costs charged to us.
- Cash.
- American Express Travelers Cheques.
- Bankers Drafts.
*Payments in these currencies will be converted to the USD equivalent on the date of payment.
A payment or deposit, whether partial or in full of a program, package, bundle, hour building, or otherwise flight training and/or flying in any way constitutes agreement contractually by both parties to provide and or recieve the agreed services as specified in the Consolidated Training, Aircraft Rental and Accommodation Agreement (CTARAA), which is available upon request.
